Bloggy Giveaway - Customized Coloring Book!!!
I am so excited to get to offer this giveaway!!! This is a perfect gift for holidays that your kids will surely love!
Would your child love to color themselves? Not like mine sometimes do (they can make amazing works of art on themsevles), but color themselves in their own coloring book! Jenny of Usingyourheads.com was kind enough to create a coloring book for our 4-year old, Caleb. A few images from the coloring book are above. Caleb is going to LOVE this!
And, to share a little about Usingyourheads.com:Usingyourheads.com makes customized labels and coloring books "using" your head. You send a picture that you want to be included and they will do some fancy work to make that image look really cool. I have only seen labels depicting people as cartoon characters, so I think these are really creative using your actual head. And, to have your child be in their own coloring book being a princess or animal adventurer will surely leave them excited about coloring!

I see you have lots of people who would love this coloring book and no child is more worthy than any other. Briefly, I'd like to tell you why I am so happy for this opportunity. My son, Aidan, is 6. Aidan has Down syndrome and is in a special education kindergarten program. It is his second year in kindergarten, but he has been in the public school program since he was two and a half years old. This will be his fifth year in school! Aidan has challenges like most kids with special needs. One challenge that we have recently mastered is, you guessed it, COLORING! This year he's finally able to color, even staying in the lines sometimes, LOL! His fine motor skills (coloring, cutting, writing) are delayed because of his condition, but it's only slowed him down. It's never yet kept him from achieving his goals. So we encourage him to color every chance we get. If he were to win this coloring book and be able to color himself, it would go a long way toward his development because I think it would encourage him to color a great deal.
Like many little boys his age, Aidan loves cars, trucks, trains, bikes, and pretty much anything with wheels. He is much more like "typical" boys his age than he is different from them. In fact, I don't think he even realizes yet that he IS different. I know he would LOVE to see himself on the page.
