Snack Time: Summer Survival Kit
Click here for more on this Snack...The Summer Survival Kit will include a weekly home activity or craft that you can do with your kiddies. My goal is to make this very inexpensive so all can afford to participate. Actually, I will be breaking down the cost of purchasing the items, and hopefully have coupons you can use to purchase your own items for the week. I will post the activity with shopping list for the following week on the Friday before so you have time to purchase whatever supplies are necessary before you get started!
Our Summer break starts on May 29. I think I'll need a week to get acclimated to my new environment with all the chillun' at home, so look for my first post on the Summer Survival Kit project on Friday, June 6! Don't worry - my projects won't be crazy intense - just something to enjoy with your kids and leave you both happy about the memories you are sharing together!
If you have any ideas or projects to share or would like to guest host this at your blog during the summer, please email me! The more minds, the merrier!! :-)
And, I want to welcome my bloggy hostesses for this 12-week series too! These wonderful bloggy friends of mine have agreed to help out during the summer:
- Lavonne @ Economic Endeavors
- Marin @ Frugonomics101
- Carrie @ MoneySavingMethods
- Marianne @ The New Frugal Mom
We have all agreed to keep it "E" for Easy since none of us are the crafty type (all of our blogs are related to frugality and savings)! So, rest assured that we won't go all "Martha Stewart" on ya! Please come here each Friday and I'll post the link to the hostess for the week so you can hop your way over to their site and get "your craft on"!
Big thanks to Marianne @ The New Frugal Mom too for creating the banner for the Summer Survival Kit! I really do appreciate it :-)

Andrea, we have more in common than we thought! I am the same way at my MOPS group. Not crafty. But DD loves crafts, so I better take your advice. Thanks!
When I was the kid staying home, we did a lot of painting things. We painted birdhouses, we painted plates, we painted glasses/cups, etc. Mom would put us out on the picnic table and let us go, that way the spills and mess would be contained to the great outdoors:)

I'd love to guest host this at my blog! And I can probably come up with some ideas along the way. On "John and Kate Plus Eight" recently, Kate made some edible play dough for the kids, and it sounded super simple and fun. My kind of craft. I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Sign me up for a guest post or host if you need one.
:)
I look forward to this! I've got 3 boys. I usually only have the 2 year old during the day. Next Tuesday is the last day of school for the older 2 so I'll have all 3.
Summer snuck up on me, now I need some fun ideas!
I am that same MOPS Mom!!! Rest assured, my craft ideas will be rated E for EASY!!!
This is a great site! Can't wait to read more of your ideas!
So I wanted to let you know I linked you in my blog, I made you in my favorites and posted about the SSK, Thanks for such a great blog!!!
