Savings Snack: Week of May 19
This week I hit all 4 of "my" stores. And, in the rain too...I should get an award for that or something :-) I had a decent savings too so here's my breakdown for your snackin' pleasure:

I did two transactions. They didn't have an item I wanted so I had to work my scenarios differently on the fly. Luckily, I had my FREE Adidas deodorant coupon with me (from the May All You Issue 5) that I was saving to use for a "rainy" day. Well, it just so happened to be raining and it worked for me! I thought I would break down my scenarios for you this week:
Transaction #1
$4.99 Adidas Deodorant
$9.99 Banana Boat Sunscreen
Total: $15.36
Minus the following coupons:
$3 off $15 CVS
$4.99 Adidias Deodorant
$1 Banana Boat
$5.99 ECB
Total: $.38 AND I earned an $4.99 ECB for the Adidas Deodorant (May ECB Offer)
Transaction #2
$4.69 Tums Quick Pak
$9.99 Banana Boat Sunscreen
Total: $15.79
Minus the following coupons:
$3 off $15 CVS
$1 Tums Quick Pak
$4.99 ECB
$4.99 ECB (from my Adidas Deodorant in Transaction #1)
Total: $.81 AND I earned a $7 ECB for the satisfying the requirement of purchasing two Banana Boat products (weekly ECB offer) and $4.69 for the Tums Quick Pak (May ECB Offer).
I didn't get a lot at CVS this week, but my items were more expensive. My total at CVS was $1.18 and I still have $12 in ECB's to use. PLUS - there was a Try Me Free Rebate in the 5/18 Paper for the Tums Quick Pak so I'll get that back on top of my ECB I earned. Woo Hoo!!
Walgreens
Total Spent: $13.23 - actually I used my ES Gift Card, so my OOP was $4.57.
Total Saved: $18.37 - or $27.95 if you consider my gift card balance I used too.
I didn't purchase anything exciting this week! I stocked up on some jolly ranchers for hubby. And, I received a $2 RR for purchasing those vitamins (which I forgot all about this until I saw it printing out).
Meijer
Total Spent: $37.36
Total Saved: $54.33
I had one of those Meijer Catalinas for $10 off a $75 purchase so when I went up to check out, my total came to $70 (I planned my trip but they were out of one thing and I was hoping tax would take me over, but it didn't). So, I picked up a magazine and some candy bars for my kiddos. I also received a $.75 Coupon off my next order for purchasing the Dole Fruit Cups. I hadn't read that catalina being offered anywhere so that was a nice surprise. I also got another $10 off $75 catalina (I think those only pop out when you use a credit/debit card to pay). And, my Meijer had coupons in from of the Kraft Bagelfuls for $.55 off. So, I got another box this week since they had extra coupons.
Kroger
Total Spent: $14.57
Total Saved: $46.13
This was a very satisfying money-saving trip too! I took full advantage of all my e-coupons this week (especially those P&G B1G1 FREE e-saver coupons)! And, the Cheerios I purchased have a $1.50 diaper coupon on the back which we will definitely use (on a sale, of course!).
I didn't go to Target last night, but I went on Saturday and bought formula for $11 and included that in this week's total. No savings there since I've already used all my coupons on the good sales that allow for stacking the Target and manufacturer coupons!!
So, my total OOP for the week was $69 and I got $228 worth of groceries, formula, and health & beauty items. That ES Gift Card came in handy this week, I would have gone over my $75 budget had I not had that to use! I also saved a total of $160. I was happy with the week just trying to get as much as possible for our budget we have for our family of 5!
So, that's my week!! Be sure to check out some grand savings stories over the weekend at MoneySavingMom, BeCentsAble (Show and Tell) and the "Cent"sible Sawyer (CVS Superstars).

So, where was the Tums Quik pack rebate form? I can't find it in my inserts....
Thanks for all the great deals. i don't know if I have ever commented but I do pop in!
faerie mom - the tums rebate was in the 5/18 Smart Source Insert. I don't know if it was a regional thing (as sometimes they are). Hopefully you got one too!
Thanks for commenting - I love to hear from everyone!!
Check out Meijer Mealbox (I don't know the link). You can print Meijer Brand coupons from the site. Last week the frozen veggies were on sale for $0.79/bag and there were $0.50 coupons. I stocked up!
great job!
Great job, it's always nice to come in under budget no matter by how much.
Awesome deals...Your really rockin' the CVS! :)
I think the Tums Quickpak rebate was regional because I wasn't lucky enough to score one either! :(
